Chinese Ming literati painter, calligrapher, and collector. Born in Jiaxing (Zhejiang Province). His courtesy name was Zijing, and his pen name was Molin Jushi. Born into a wealthy family, he used his wealth to collect calligraphy and paintings, and was called the best in the Ming dynasty, but was scattered during the rebellion at the end of the Ming. Many of the surviving calligraphy and paintings bear his library seal. He studied the painting styles of Huang Gongwang and Ni Zan, especially the latter, and showed great skill in works such as Plum Blossoms, Orchids, Bamboo and Rocks.

中国,明の文人画家,書家,収蔵家。嘉興 (浙江省) の人。字は子京,号は墨林居士。富家に生れその財力で書画を収集し,明代第一と称されたが明末の乱に四散。現存する書画には彼の蔵印を押したものが多数残っている。黄公望,倪 瓚,ことに後者の画法を学び,梅蘭竹石図などにすぐれた手腕を示した。
