Kenbutsuzaemon
[1] [noun] A word that personifies a spectator. It is often used to describe people who come from the countryside to see the capital or people who are browsing in Yoshiwara. *Zappai, Yanagi Taru-21 (1786) "A teahouse on the bank, expecting Minmonzaemon" [2] Kyogen. Solo Kyogen . [1] An extra piece from the Izumi school. The plot is about Minmonzaemon going around to see the cherry blossoms of a landlord and those on Nishiyama . It includes small songs, short songs, and small dances. [2] An extra piece from the Izumi school and the Okura school Hachiemon school. The plot is about Minmonzaemon going around to see the yabusame (horseback archery) and sumo wrestling at the Fukakusa Festival. In the Okura school, it is called the "Fukakusa Festival."

[1] 〘名〙 見物人を擬人化していうことば。多くは、いなかから都を見物に来た人、または吉原のひやかしをする人などにいう。※雑俳・柳多留‐二一(1786)「見物左衛門をあてに土手の茶屋」[2] 狂言。独狂言(ひとりきょうげん)。[一] 和泉流番外曲。見物左衛門が地主(じしゅ)の桜や西山の桜を見て回るという筋。小謡(こうたい)、小歌、小舞などがはいる。[二] 和泉流・大蔵流八右衛門派の番外曲。見物左衛門が深草祭の流鏑馬(やぶさめ)や相撲を見て回るという筋。大蔵流では「深草祭」という。
