The plot is about Minmonzaemon going around to see the yabusame (horseback archery) and sumo wrestling at the Fukakusa Festival. In the Okura school, it is called the "Fukakusa Festival."

[1] 〘名〙見物人を擬人化していうことば。多くは、いなかから都を見物に来た人、または吉原のひやかしをする人などにいう。※雑俳・柳多留‐二一（1786）「見物左衛門をあてに土手の茶屋」[2] 狂言。独狂言(ひとりきょうげん)。[一] 和泉流番外曲。見物左衛門が地主(じしゅ)の桜や西山の桜を見て回るという筋。小謡(こうたい)、小歌、小舞などがはいる。[二] 和泉流・大蔵流八右衛門派の番外曲。見物左衛門が深草祭の流鏑馬(やぶさめ)や相撲を見て回るという筋。大蔵流では「深草祭」という。
