Inflammation of blood vessels, including aortitis, arteritis, and phlebitis. Causes include secondary inflammation due to bacteria, chemicals, radiation, etc., and primary inflammation of blood vessels with unknown causes. Aortitis includes pulseless disease (Takayasu's disease), aortic medial necrosis, and syphilitic aortitis, which can cause aortic aneurysms. Arteritis includes temporal arteritis, obliterative arteritis of the lower limbs, and pediatric coronary arteritis, as well as polyarteritis nodosa, which belongs to collagen diseases. Phlebitis can occur in association with inflammation, as well as systemic migratory phlebitis. Vasculitis can cause necrosis due to thrombosis or bleeding due to rupture of an aortic aneurysm, leading to death. 血管の炎症で,大動脈炎,動脈炎,静脈炎が含まれる。原因としては細菌,化学物質,放射線などによる2次的なものと,原因不明で1次的に血管に炎症を生じるものがある。大動脈炎には脈なし病 (高安病) ,大動脈中膜壊死,梅毒性大動脈炎などがあり,大動脈瘤を起す。動脈炎には,側頭動脈炎,下肢の閉塞性動脈炎,小児の冠状動脈炎などのほか,膠原病に属する多発性 (結節性) 動脈炎がある。静脈炎は炎症に合併するもののほか,全身性の移動性静脈炎などがある。血管炎では,血栓症による壊死や大動脈瘤破裂による出血を起して,死亡することがある。
