Practice Girl - Keiko Musume

Japanese: 稽古娘 - けいこむすめ

A Kabuki dance piece. Tomimoto. First performed at Edo Nakamuraza in March 1846 (Koka 3). The piece is from Onoe Tamizo's Seven Transformations, Nanaezaki Naniwa no Iedzuto, and is a piece from the song "Furisode in a Deep Window." Composer: Misaki Yasuji. Choreography: Fujima Kan'emon, Fujima Daisuke, Nishikawa Minosuke, Nishikawa Yoshijiro. It is a revised version of the Nagauta piece "Practice Girl" (composed by Kineya Rokuzaemon 10th) from the Nine Transformations, Eight-Layered Nine-Layered Flower Sagae, which Tamizo also danced at Nakamuraza in July 1841 (Tenpo 12). A girl from a deep window dressed in a furisode dances on her way home from practice.

歌舞伎舞踊作品。富本。1846年(弘化3)3月江戸中村座初演。尾上多見蔵七変化所作事《七重咲浪花土産（ななえざきなにわのいえづと）》のうち〈深窓の振袖〉の曲。作曲名見崎安治。振付藤間勘右衛門，藤間大助，西川巳之助，西川芳次郎。同じく多見蔵が1841年(天保12)7月中村座で踊った九変化《八重九重花姿絵》の中の長唄《稽古娘》(10世杵屋六左衛門作曲)を改めたもの。深窓の娘が振袖姿で，稽古帰りの様子を踊る。
