A golden person. It refers to a Buddha or a Buddhist statue. In the Wei Shu Shalaozhi, it is written that when Huo Qubing (魍クポン) defeated the Xiongnu, he captured over 100 golden people, who were worshipped by Emperor Wu of Han. There are also many legends about this, such as the story of Emperor Ming of Han dreaming of a golden person flying in his garden, asking his close aides who told him it was a Buddha, and dispatching an envoy to the Western Regions. There is also the story of the First Emperor of Qin capturing 18 monks from the Western Regions, and that night a god of gold (the same as a golden person) appeared, broke the prison, and rescued the monks, for which the First Emperor apologized. It is thought to be a legend connected to the historical fact of the introduction of Buddhism to China.
