A mining lease is a contract in which a mining rights holder grants all or part of the rights to mine minerals to a third party to manage the mining. It often takes the form of a lease. Under the Mining Act, it is only permitted when a mining lease is established with formal authorization. 〘名〙 鉱業権者が鉱物の採掘に関する権利の全部、または一部を第三者に与えて鉱業を管理させる契約。賃貸借の形式をとることが多い。鉱業法上、正式に認可を受けて租鉱権を設定した場合にだけ認められる。
