Wan Pai (English spelling)

Japanese: 皖派 - かんぱ（英語表記）Wǎn pài

Wan is the old name of Anhui Province in China, and since this region produced many scholars during the Qing dynasty, these people are known as the Wan School, but are broadly classified as part of the Western Zhejiang School. Originating from Jiang Yong and Dai Zhen, it was passed down to Duan Yucai, Ren Datong, Wang Niansun, Wang Yinzhi, and later Yu Yue and Sun Yirang. This school shares a common method of verifying facts through a skeptical attitude and analyzing them through inductive logic, which is very different from the Wu School, which adheres to the Han dynasty exegesis of Huidong and others.
