Kiev State

…the Kievan Rus state was a state that existed in the 13th century and was the seat of the Russian Empire.

According to the oldest Russian chronicle, the Tale of Bygone Years, compiled in the early 12th century, in the mid-9th century, a powerful Eastern Slavic tribe, the Polyanins, had settled in the middle Dnieper River basin and created a small state centered in Kiev.
