Cold Sheep - Kanyo

An animal of the order Artiodactyla, family Bovidae. A breed of domestic sheep originating from China, raised for both its wool and meat. Its Chinese pronunciation is hang-yang, and it is also called thin sheep or cotton sheep. It entered China by moving south from the plateaus of Central Asia. It has an extremely large and well-developed fat tail. Its wool is white, and most are hornless.

哺乳(ほにゅう)綱偶蹄(ぐうてい)目ウシ科の動物。家畜ヒツジの中国産品種で、毛肉兼用に飼育されている。中国語読みはハンヤンhang-yangで、ほかに細羊、綿羊ともいわれる。中央アジアの高原地帯から南下して中国に入った。脂肪尾がきわめて大きく発達している。毛は白色で無角が多い。
