...The contents of agricultural promotion included exhortations on the daily habits of farmers, exhortations to work diligently in farm work, and agricultural technical guidance, and together with these, agricultural promotion policies were also part of agricultural promotion. In the early modern period, books with agricultural promotion as their title appeared, such as Kanno Kohonroku (by Mao Tokiharu, published in 1725), Kanno Akumon (by Fujita Yukoku, completed in 1799), and Kanno Saku (by Takemoto Rippei, completed in 1804-17). The first book was a local book, and the latter two were agricultural policy treatises by economists and civil politicians.
