〘Noun〙 (also "kanzu". "Su" is the Chinese pronunciation of "tera" (temple)) In Zen Buddhism, the name of the position that supervises a temple and leads the monks. One of the six governors, the most important position in a temple after the capital temple (tsusu) . Superintendent. Kanji. ※From the Records of Mount Tendai Godai (1072-73), vol. 1 " Two wise men at the Fountain Pavilion faced each other at Jusho -ji Temple, and the supervision of the temple was bestowed upon three people , one each by two messengers, who oversaw a number of courteous and polite actions."
