...The theory of the sun refers to what we now call the solar system. In addition to the above, Yoshinaga left behind more than ten translations related to astronomy and geography alone, such as "Oranda Kaikyosho" (The Holland Sea Mirror Book) and "Solar Distance Calendar Solution." Although Yoshinaga's main occupation was language, many of his translations were commissioned by others; for example, "Translated Oranda Honsho" (Hyakuhan Oranda Honsho) was commissioned by Hiraga Gennai, and "Nichigetsukei Wake" (The Sun and Moon Reconciliation) was commissioned by someone related to the Matsuura family, the latter of which is an explanation of astronomical equipment owned by the family....
