Born December 30, 1896. Scouted by Goto Keita from a Ministry of Railways administrative officer, he joined Tokyu Corporation in 1942. In 1951, he became president of Toei and created the golden age of period films. He was also president of Nippon Educational Television (now TV Asahi). He managed the professional baseball team Toei Flyers. He passed away on August 17, 1971. He was 74 years old. He was from Niigata Prefecture. He graduated from Chuo University.
