…Except for his appointment as Bitchu no Suke in 893 (Kanpei 5), he served in various Confucian positions in Kyoto, including Daichiki, Monjo Hakase, Daigaku no Kami, and Shikibu Daifu, and was finally promoted to Sangi and Kunaikyo at the age of 71 in his later years. He excelled in poetry and prose, and wrote works such as "The Biography of Priest Enchin," "The Biography of Fujiwara no Yasunori," and "The Secret Record of Zenka." He was also a public economist, submitting "Kakumei Kanbun" (Revolutionary Report) in 901 (Engi 1), the year of the Xinyou, and "Junikajo" (Twelve Articles of Opinion) in 914. …
