…From 1871 to 1880, he actively illustrated works by Kanagaki Robun, Hattori Oga, and others. In 1874, he teamed up with Robun to launch Japan's first comic magazine, Eshinbun Nitsuponchi. He was a versatile and prolific artist, drawing everything from landscapes, flowers, and birds, genre scenes, and monsters to beautiful women. In the 1870s, he published many caricature picture books in the style of Hokusai Manga. …
