Undai Mountain

…After the development of maritime trade, Xuzhou became important as a seaport, a stopover point for north-south shipping, and a shipping port for products from the north of Subei and the north of Huai. The seaport was originally established outside Haizhou City, up the Rose River, but it lacked favorable conditions as a port, so after the Republic of China was established, a modern port was built on the waterway between Yuntai Mountain on the coast and East-West Liandao as an outer port. A railway was also extended from Xuzhou (Longhai Railway, Lianyungang-Lanzhou), and efforts were made to develop it as an international trading port in central China. …
