...In the northern part of the prefecture, potato crops and apples are cultivated, while dairy farming is practiced in the southern part. Umaoi Onsen (simple sulfur spring, 16°C) is located at the northern foot of the mountain, and Tsurunoyu Onsen (pure salt spring, 11°C) is located at the southern foot of the mountain. The Muroran Main Line and National Route 234 run along the eastern foot of the mountain.
