Iwamuro Village, Nishikanbara County, Niigata Prefecture (now Niigata City), along the Ya River at the northeastern foot of Mt. Yahiko. Weak saline sulfur spring. 27°C. In 1713, the shogunate magistrate gave permission for it to become a hot spring resort, and it became very popular along with the pilgrimage to Yahiko.
