A god who appears in one of the books of the "Nihon Shoki." Son of Susanoo- no-Mikoto . He traveled to Silla with his father, but later moved to Izumo with tree species and planted them all over the country. He is the deity enshrined at Itakiso Shrine in Idakiso , Wakayama City. He is also said to be the same deity as Ooyahiko -no-Mikoto . 「日本書紀」の一書に見える神。素戔嗚尊(すさのおのみこと)の子。父とともに新羅(しらぎ)に渡ったが、のち、樹種を持って出雲に移住し、全国に植林した。和歌山市伊太祈曾(いだきそ)の伊太祁曾神社の祭神。大屋毘古命(おおやびこのみこと)と同神ともいう。
