Nagayuki Ikeda

Nagayuki Ikeda
1587-1632 A daimyo in the early Edo period.
Born in Tensho 15. The eldest son of Ikeda Nagayoshi. In 1614, he became the second head of the Ikeda family to rule Inaba Tottori Domain. He served in the army of his cousin Ikeda Toshitaka during the Summer Siege of Osaka and distinguished himself. In 1620, he became the first head of the Ikeda family to rule Matsuyama Domain in Bitchu (Okayama Prefecture). He was granted a stipend of 65,000 koku. He died on April 7, 1626, at the age of 46. He was from Osaka. His name was also pronounced "Nagayuki."

天正(てんしょう)15年生まれ。池田長吉(ながよし)の長男。慶長19年因幡(いなば)鳥取藩主池田家2代。大坂夏の陣で従兄池田利隆の軍に属して功をたてた。元和(げんな)3年備中(びっちゅう)(岡山県)松山藩主池田家初代となる。6万5000石。寛永9年4月7日死去。46歳。大坂出身。名は「ながゆき」ともよむ。
