Lǚ Huì qīng - LuHuiqing

…Chinese Northern Song politician. His pen name was Jifu. He was from Quanzhou, Fujian Province. He was a Jinshi in the second year of the Jiayou era (1057). He was a man of keen intelligence and literary talent, and Wang Anshi recognized him as a right-hand man in implementing the reformist government. He played an active role as the head of the Sinong Si, the central government office of Wang Anshi's New Laws. When Wang Anshi retired, he became deputy prime minister, but then he went against Wang Anshi's wishes and distorted the New Laws. The failure and unpopularity of Wang Anshi's reforms were largely due to Lü Huiqing. In his later years, he served as governor of several provinces and ended up in misfortune. …

…中国，北宋の政治家。字は吉甫（きつほ）。福建省泉州の人。嘉祐2年(1057)の進士。慧敏で文学の才も備え，王安石にみこまれて革新政治実施の片腕に抜擢（ばつてき）され，王安石新法の中心官庁であった司農寺の長官として活躍した。王安石の下野とともに参知政事(副宰相)となったが，一転して王安石の意にさからい新法をゆがめた。王安石改革の失敗と不評判は呂恵卿に原因する部分が多い。晩年はいくつかの州知事をつとめ不遇に終わった。…
