...The superfamily Rhinolophoidea includes the Lymphidae, whose ears are joined at the top of the head, the carnivorous Alaparatidae, the Rhinolophoidae, whose nose lobes are developed around the nostrils, and the Pterygota bats. The superfamily Phyllostomatoidea includes the Pterygota bats, whose tails are either tailless or project outside the interfemoral membrane and have nose lobes, and the short-haired Pterygota bats. The superfamily Vespertilionoidea includes the family Leptoleptidae, which have no nose lobes and a prominent tragus, the family Lapwing bats, which have a vestigial first digit, the family Pterygotae, which have a claw and sucker on the first digit, the family Salamander bats, which have a fused tragus and pinna, the family Vespertilionoidea, which have a well-developed tragus, the family Lesser Pterygotae, which have a short tail that protrudes upward from near the center of the upper surface of the femoral membrane, and the family Pterygotae, which have a short femoral membrane and a long tail that protrudes backward from its posterior edge.
