Half mirror

...In English, magic mirror means a magic mirror that reflects the future or distant scenes, and can also refer to a so-called magic mirror that shows a pattern resembling a sculpture on the back of the mirror when light is reflected off a wall or other object. However, in Japan, this word is used as a colloquial name for a mirror that reflects light from the bright side and cannot be seen through, that is, a semi-transparent mirror (also called a half mirror). Mirrors are generally made by applying a reflective metal film (reflective film) to the front or back of glass, but a semi-transparent mirror is made by thinning the reflective film and attaching glass to the back, allowing some of the light to pass through and some to reflect.
