...Includes index cards, bond paper (a hard, firm paper made from rag pulp or chemical pulp, thoroughly beaten to size), etc. The English equivalent of thick paper is card board, but its usage is ambiguous and the distinction from paperboard is unclear. In Japan, card paper refers to high-quality paperboard made from ground wood pulp in the middle layer and bleached chemical pulp on the top and bottom layers (ivory paper).
