Blue Mink

...The flowers are tubular and lack petals, but the soft purple color is due to the color and shape of the many long pistils. Horticultural varieties also have white flowers, and the Blue Mink, which has been improved to be a tetraploid, has large, dwarf, beautiful blue-purple flowers. Seeds are usually sown in April, and because the seeds are small, they are sown sparsely. The seedlings are raised in a nursery before being planted in flower beds or pots.
