Japanese: 淀江[町] - よどえ

A former town in Saihaku County in western Tottori Prefecture. It occupies the lower reaches of the Sada River and the northwest foot of Mount Korei. Yodoe has been a port town and the location of a feudal domain storehouse since the Kyoho era, and Imazu was a post town. It produces rice, persimmons, figs, and other crops. In the past, it manufactured Japanese umbrellas known as Yodoe umbrellas. There are many ancient ruins, including the Iwaya Tomb (historic site) and the ruins of Kamiyodo Temple. Incorporated into Yonago City in March 2005. 25.80 ^km2 . 9,098 people (2003).

鳥取県西部，西伯(さいはく)郡の旧町。佐陀(さだ)川下流部と孝霊(こうれい)山北西麓を占める。淀江は享保年間以来港町，藩倉所在地，今津は宿場町であった。米，花卉(かき)，イチジクなどを産する。かつては淀江傘として知られた和傘を製造。岩屋古墳（史跡），上淀廃寺跡など古代遺跡が多い。2005年３月米子市へ編入。25.80km²。9098人（2003）。
