Japanese: 柳沢騒動物 - やなぎさわそうどうもの

A type of Kabuki play. It refers to a group of plays based on the Yanagisawa Disturbance. Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu rose from a humble beginning to become a great feudal lord by winning the favor of the shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, but the true story Gokoku Onna Taiheiki portrays Yoshiyasu as an ambitious villain, and in lectures he is dramatized as a family feud. Kabuki plays were created based on these stories. The first was Keisei Yanagi Sakura, written by Tatsuoka Mansaku and Chikamatsu Tokusou and performed in Osaka in January 1793 (Kansei 5), which sets the story of Yodoya Tatsugoro in the Yanagisawa Disturbance.

歌舞伎の一系統。柳沢騒動を材料にした作品群をいう。柳沢吉保は，小身者から将軍徳川綱吉の寵愛（ちようあい）を得て大大名に出世したが，実録本の《護国女太平記》は吉保を野望をもつ悪人として描き，講釈ではお家騒動風に脚色して語られた。歌舞伎の作品はこれらを材料にして作られた。最初は1793年(寛政5)1月大坂中の芝居の辰岡万作･近松徳叟作の《けいせい楊柳桜（やなぎさくら）》で，柳沢騒動に淀屋辰五郎の話を配している。
