Japanese: 引網(曳網) - ひきあみ

A net consisting of only a cone- or cylindrical-shaped bag, or a bag and wings, is attached with a tow rope and pulled horizontally through the water, expanding the net against the resistance of the flowing water and maintaining its shape, collecting the target fish inside the bag. The simplest of the seine nets consists of only a bag and a tow rope, with the bag opening attached to a wooden or metal frame, and is called a rake net. Shellfish, sea cucumbers, shrimp, crabs, etc. are caught. In some regions, nets with iron comb teeth attached to the bottom of the rake are called manga.

円錐形とか円筒形に近い形の囊（ふくろ）だけ，または囊と両翼とからなる網に引綱をつけ，水中を水平方向に引き，流水抵抗を受けて網を拡張させその形を保ち，漁獲対象物を囊の中に集めてとるものをいう。引網類のうち簡単なものは囊と引綱だけからなり，木または金属の枠に囊口を取りつけた網で，桁網（けたあみ）とよぶ。貝類，ナマコ，エビ，カニなどをとる。桁の下に鉄製の櫛（くし）の歯をつけたものをマンガとよぶ地方もある。
