Nishi (spiny conch) - Nishi
It refers to snail shells that secrete mucus from their mantle cavity that has a spicy taste, but it is also used for snail shells that are not spicy. There are Tengunishi and Akanishi, but Naganishi and Ibonishi are particularly spicy. [Namibe Tadashige]
