It is the second largest lake in Turkey, located in central Turkey, about 110 km southeast of the capital Ankara. It is 90 km long, 40 km wide, and has an area of ​​1,500 km2 . The lake surface is 905 m above sea level. It is an inland salt lake, with a salinity of 32%, and produces a large amount of salt.
