Miki Tashiro - Miki Tashiro

A doctor in the Muromachi period. Born in Ogose, Musashi Province (Saitama Prefecture). His given name was Dotsu, his given name was Sanki, and his pen name was Sohan. He also used many pen names, such as Han'o, Kai'o, Shisanjin, Izokuken, Koshun'an, Nikgen, Gen'en, and Zen'tsu. His ancestor was Tashiro Nobutsuna (date of birth and death unknown), who lived in Izu during the Juei era (1182-1184). The eighth Kanetsuna moved to Ogose, where Sanki was also born. In 1487 (Chokyo 1), he traveled to the Ming Dynasty and studied medicine under Li Dongyuan and Zhu Zhenheng (Tankei) for 12 years before returning to Japan and living in Ashikaga and Koga. He became the physician of the Koga kubo (Kogakubo), Ashikaga Shigeuji, and was called "Koga Sanki." In 1531 (Kyoroku 4), Manase Dosan, who came from Kyoto to study at the Ashikaga School, studied under Sanki. Sanki is known as the founder of Li-Zhu medicine in Japan, and his books include "Wagokushu," "Bensho Haizai," "Inkashu," "Shojutsu (Effective Techniques of Various Medicines in Our School)," and "Yakushu Hidden Name." He died on April 15, Tenbun 13. There is also a theory that he died in 1537 (Tenbun 6).

室町時代の医者。武蔵(むさし)国越生(おごせ)（埼玉県）の生まれ。名を導通、諱(いみな)を三喜、字(あざな)を祖範といい、範翁、廻翁、支山人、意足軒、江春庵、日玄、玄淵、善通など多くの号を用いた。先祖は寿永(じゅえい)年間（1182～1184）の伊豆の人、田代信綱（生没年不詳）で、8代目兼綱が越生に移り、三喜もここで生まれた。1487年（長享1）明(みん)に渡り、留学12年間、李東垣(りとうえん)、朱震亨(しゅしんこう)（丹渓(たんけい)）の医学を学んで帰国、足利(あしかが)・古河(こが)に住んだ。古河公方(こがくぼう)足利成氏(しげうじ)の侍医となり、「古河三喜」とよばれた。1531年（享禄4）、京都より足利学校に遊学していた曲直瀬道三(まなせどうさん)が三喜に師事した。三喜は日本における李朱医学の開祖と称され、著書に『和極集(わごくしゅう)』『弁証配剤(べんしょうはいざい)』『印可集(いんかしゅう)』『当流諸沿諸薬之捷術(しょうじゅつ)』『薬種隠名』などがある。天文(てんぶん)13年4月15日没。1537年（天文6）没の説もある。
