A former town in Nakajima-gun, northwest Aichi Prefecture. Located in the Nobi Plain on the east bank of the Kiso River, the town cultivates rice, vegetables, and flowers. Its specialty products are plants and seedlings. It is also part of the Bisai woolen textile industrial area. The Meitetsu Bisai Line runs through the town.
