Japanese: 殺線虫剤 - さつせんちゅうざい

Many nematodes parasitize plants and are important agricultural pests. Chemicals used to control them are called nematicides. The nematode that causes the most damage to agriculture is the parasitic root-knot nematode, followed by the root-lesion nematode. There are two types of nematicides: those that kill nematodes that parasitize plants and those that kill nematodes in the soil, with the majority being the latter. The main nematicides are as follows (brand names in parentheses): (1) Halogenated hydrocarbons: Chloropicrin, methyl bromide, D-D (unregistered), DCPI (Mamamol) - mainly used as a soil fumigant.

センチュウは植物に寄生するものも多く，農業上重要な有害生物である。これを防除する薬剤を殺線虫剤という。農業上最も大きな被害をひきおこしているセンチュウは寄生性のネコブセンチュウで，ネグサレセンチュウがこれにつぐといわれている。殺線虫剤には植物に寄生しているセンチュウを殺すものと土壌中のセンチュウを殺すものとがあるが，大部分が後者のものである。主要な殺線虫剤は次の通りである。(かっこ内は商品名)。(1)ハロゲン化炭化水素系　クロロピクリン，臭化メチル，D‐D(非登録)，DCPI(ママモール)――主として土壌薫蒸剤として使用。
