[一] 栃木県芳賀郡益子町にある新義真言宗豊山派の寺。山号独鈷山。行基の開山と伝えられる。のち北条時頼が再建。[二] 滋賀県犬上郡甲良町にある天台宗の寺。山号は龍王山。承和元年(八三四)三修が開創。仁明天皇の勅願所。鎌倉時代造立の本堂、三重塔は国宝。池寺。池寺本坊。[三] 京都市右京区梅ケ畑槇尾町にある高野山真言宗の寺。山号槇尾山。天長九年(八三二)空海の弟子智泉が開創。現在の本堂は、元祿一二年(一六九九)徳川綱吉の母の桂昌院が寄進したもの。もみじの名所。[四] 中国、陝西省の西安(昔の長安)にある寺。六五八年、唐の高宗の勅願により、玄奘(げんじょう)が開基。
