[1] A temple of the Shingon sect of Buddhism in Mashiko-cho, Haga-gun, Tochigi Prefecture. The mountain name is Dokkozan. It is said to have been founded by Gyoki. It was later rebuilt by Hojo Tokiyori. [2] A Tendai sect temple in Kora-cho, Inukami-gun, Shiga Prefecture. The mountain name is Ryuo-zan. It was founded in 834 by Sanshu. It was a place of imperial prayer for Emperor Ninmyo. The main hall and three-story pagoda, built in the Kamakura period, are national treasures. Ike-dera. Ike-dera Honbo. [3] A Koyasan Shingon sect temple in Makio-cho, Umegahata, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City. The mountain name is Makio-san. It was founded in 832 by Chisen, a disciple of Kukai. The current main hall was donated in 1699 by Keishoin, the mother of Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. It is a famous spot for viewing maples. [4] This temple is located in Xi'an (formerly Chang'an), Shaanxi Province, China. It was founded in 658 by Xuanzang at the request of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty.

[一] 栃木県芳賀郡益子町にある新義真言宗豊山派の寺。山号独鈷山。行基の開山と伝えられる。のち北条時頼が再建。[二] 滋賀県犬上郡甲良町にある天台宗の寺。山号は龍王山。承和元年（八三四）三修が開創。仁明天皇の勅願所。鎌倉時代造立の本堂、三重塔は国宝。池寺。池寺本坊。[三] 京都市右京区梅ケ畑槇尾町にある高野山真言宗の寺。山号槇尾山。天長九年（八三二）空海の弟子智泉が開創。現在の本堂は、元祿一二年（一六九九）徳川綱吉の母の桂昌院が寄進したもの。もみじの名所。[四] 中国、陝西省の西安（昔の長安）にある寺。六五八年、唐の高宗の勅願により、玄奘(げんじょう)が開基。
