Narrative music performed mainly in northern China. In Chinese, it is called Guzi. The main accompaniment is the Sihu (see Huqin) and the Da Sanxian. The singer sings while striking a Shugu (a type of drum) and a Bang (an instrument similar to a castanet). The main focus is on singing, with narration playing a secondary role. 中国北方地域を中心に行われる語り物音楽。中国語ではグーツー。四胡(スーフー。胡琴参照)や大三弦が主要伴奏楽器。演唱者は自ら書鼓(シューグー。太鼓の一種)と板(バン。カスタネットに似た楽器)を打ちながら歌う。歌が中心で,語りは二義的。河北省の京韻大鼓(ジンユンダーグー)などがよく知られている。南方の弾詞(タンツー)とならぶ中国の代表的な語り物音楽。
