Koshi - Drum

Narrative music performed mainly in northern China. In Chinese, it is called Guzi. The main accompaniment is the Sihu (see Huqin) and the Da Sanxian. The singer sings while striking a Shugu (a type of drum) and a Bang (an instrument similar to a castanet). The main focus is on singing, with narration playing a secondary role. 中国北方地域を中心に行われる語り物音楽。中国語ではグーツー。四胡（スーフー。胡琴参照）や大三弦が主要伴奏楽器。演唱者は自ら書鼓（シューグー。太鼓の一種）と板（バン。カスタネットに似た楽器）を打ちながら歌う。歌が中心で，語りは二義的。河北省の京韻大鼓（ジンユンダーグー）などがよく知られている。南方の弾詞（タンツー）とならぶ中国の代表的な語り物音楽。
