Born on January 15, 1861. Nephew of Kono Hironaka. Arrested in the Fukushima Incident in 1882. After his release in 1884, he plotted with his comrades to assassinate Fukushima prefectural governor Mishima Michitsune, who was involved in the repression, but when this was discovered he rose up in rebellion (Kabasan Incident). Sentenced to life imprisonment. Released in 1852, he worked in the immigration business in his later years. Died on February 20, 1941. Age 78. Born in Miharu, Mutsu (Fukushima Prefecture).
