A book of court etiquette and customs. 1 volume. It is called by various names such as "Koan Reiho" and "Koan Seifu". It did not originally have a fixed title, and it is thought that the current title was chosen to mean etiquette established during the Koan era (1278-88). The contents include shosatsurei (etiquette for writing letters) and rotorei (etiquette for meeting nobles on the street), and it is said that it was established in December 1285 (8th year of Koan) by the retired Emperor Kameyama after listening to the opinions of his senior vassals. In particular, the rules regarding shosatsurei became the basis for various books on shosatsurei compiled after the Muromachi period. There is an old manuscript from the early Nanboku-cho period in the National Diet Library, but the version included in "Gunsho Ruiju" is more widely circulated.
