Gejigeji fern - Gejigeji fern

A summer-green fern of the Dryopteris family. The leaves are fascicled, lanceolate, and pinnately divided once, with a zigzag wing at the center axis. Sporangia occur near the edges of the lobes, and the envelopes are reniform and fall early. It grows in bright forest edges and slopes south of the southern Tohoku region.

オシダ科の夏緑性シダ。葉は束生して披針(ひしん)形、1回羽状に分裂し、中軸にジグザグ状の翼がある。裂片の縁の近くに胞子嚢(ほうしのう)群が生じ、包膜は円腎(えんじん)形で早落性。東北地方南部以南の明るい林縁や斜面に生育する。
