...Enjudayu V refined and standardized the style of storytelling in line with the times, and worked to improve his social status. His pairing with Umekichi III was popular, but in 1922 they fell out, and Umekichi became independent and established the Kiyomoto school (Umekichi school). Since then, the school has split into the Umekichi school and the Enjudayu school (Takanawa school), and continues to this day. Kiyomotobushi has a short history, but its style has changed dramatically, and it can be said to have all kinds of aspects. ...
