Atsugashiyama

…A battle that took place in the area of ​​Atsugiyayama (now written as such) in Kunimi Town, Fukushima Prefecture, from August 8 to 10, 1189 (Bun'ji 5). It was the fiercest battle in the so-called Oshu Conquest, which Minamoto no Yoritomo waged to defeat Fujiwara no Yasuhira of Hiraizumi in Mutsu Province.
