New York Tribune

Japanese: ニューヨーク・トリビューン(英語表記)New York Tribune
New York Tribune
An American daily newspaper. It was founded in 1841 by H. Greeley as a "refined" popular penny paper that did not carry crime stories. It became a leading paper by claiming to be "for the working class" and by its unique social "reform" tone and campaigns. After Greeley's death in 1872, Whitelaw Reid, who was the CEO, took over (taking full control in 1883), and over the years it transformed into a daily newspaper targeted at industrial and commercial capitalists and the emerging upper class.
