Endorphins

... It has become clear that there are various physiologically active peptides in the brain, which act as neurotransmitters. Of these, a group of peptides (endorphins) that exhibit morphine-like analgesic effects have attracted particular attention. One of these is methionine enkephalin, which is a low-polymerization oligopeptide with the structure tyrosine-glycine-glycine-phenylalanine-methionine.
