Double diffusion test

…A serological test method that is indispensable for the analysis of antigenic substances. It is also called the double diffusion test. The antigen and antibody are diffused facing each other in a gel such as agar or agarose, and then reacted slowly to produce a visible precipitation line. When there are many types of antigens and antibodies, precipitation lines corresponding to the types can be observed.
