Daidaliōn (English spelling) Daidalion

...It symbolizes gods related to the sun and fire, including Horus, Apollo, the Sphinx, and Loki. In Greek mythology, Daidalion, whose daughter was killed by Artemis, lost his sanity in grief and threw himself off the top of Mount Parnassus, but was transformed into a hawk by Apollo. Kirkos, a sacred bird dedicated to Apollo, who is said to be a symbol of the sun, is thought to be a hawk, a crow, or a falcon, and is said to be named after the cry of this bird, along with Circe, the daughter of the sun god Helios.
