Rhymes and rhymes in the Department of Literature (English: Lǐ bù yùn lüè)
A rhymed book compiled by Ching Du and others in the Song dynasty in China. It was revised from the Rhymed Lue compiled by Qi Lun and others in 1007 (4th year of the Jingde era) and published in 1037 (4th year of the Jingyou era). It has 5 volumes and 206 rhymes, with a total of 9,590 characters, and includes only the main characters with brief annotations for those taking the Ministry of Rites examination. The official edition from the Song dynasty has not been handed down, but a commonly used edition is the Annotated Interactive Commentary on the Rhymed Literature Section. Additionally, the Expanded Interactive Commentary on the Rhymed Literature Section by Mao Huang and Mao Juzheng and his son significantly increased the number of characters and annotations, reflecting the change to modern pronunciation.
