[1] One of the palace buildings in the Imperial Palace in the Heian period. It was located to the north of Seiryoden and to the west of Reikeiden, and was used as the residence of the Empress, the Empress Consort, and the Consort. The main building was divided into two parts, north and south, by a horse path (medo) , with the east leading to Joneiden by a corridor, and the north leading to Tokaden by a Kirimamichi (bowl of horses). The western eaves were nine bays long and narrow from north to south, so they were also called Hosodono (thin palaces). They were also written as Koukiden, Koukiden, and Kogiden.
