Sensory projection area

…The areas of the cerebral cortex that receive direct projections from peripheral sensory organs (or sensory receptors) via sensory pathways are called primary sensory areas or sensory projection areas, and the sensory area in the narrow sense refers to these. The sensory peripheral areas that receive secondary projections are located around them, and the sensory area in the broad sense includes these.
