A clock that uses the frequency stability of a tuning fork. A tuning fork is used as a mechanical resonant circuit for a low-frequency oscillator, and the output of the oscillator drives a synchronous motor clock. The frequency of the tuning fork is 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or an integer multiple thereof. There are also tuning fork watches that have a small mercury battery and a transistor circuit built in.
