A town in Kodama County in northwest Saitama Prefecture. The southern part is made up of hills that extend from the Chichibu Mountains, while the northern part is made up of plateaus and plains. Remains of the jori system can be seen in Kitajujo and Minamijujo, and in Hiroki are the remains of a well that is associated with the Manyoshu. The town cultivates rice, wheat, and sericulture, but in recent years, greenhouse cultivation of cucumbers and other crops, and dairy farming have been increasing. Large electronics and electrical companies have also set up shop here. The remains of the Suedo tile kiln (historic site) are in Numagami. 33.41 km2 . Population: 11,605 (2010).

A town in Toda County located in the center of Miyagi Prefecture. The town borders Osaki City to the west, and the Eai River flows east to the north. In January 2006, the towns of Kogota and Nangou in Toda County merged to form a town. The JR Tohoku Main Line runs through the town, and the Rikuu East Line and Ishinomaki Line branch off from Kogota Station. National Routes 108 and 346 run through the town. The town sustained damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. 74.95 km2 . Population 25,190 (2010).

A former town in Kaiso District, northern Wakayama Prefecture. It occupies the upper reaches of the Kishi River, a tributary of the Kino River. It was once part of the grounds of Kongobu-ji Temple on Mount Koya. Most of the area is forest, producing persimmons, mandarin oranges and other fruit trees, as well as high-quality cedar and cypress timber. In January 2006, it merged with Nogami Town, Kaiso District, to become Kimino Town, Kaiso District. Area: 89.45 km2 . Population: 4,164 (2003).

A town in Shimomashiki District, located in the center of Kumamoto Prefecture. In November 2004, Toyo Town and Chuo Town in Shimomashiki District merged to form a town. National Routes 218, 445, and 443 pass through the town. The town office is on a rotation system, with the former Toyo Town Office and the former Chuo Town Office alternating every two years. Area: 144.00 km2 . Population: 11,388 (2010).

和歌山県北部,海草(かいそう)郡の旧町。紀ノ川の支流貴志川の上流域を占める。かつては高野山金剛峯寺の寺領の一部。大部分は山林で,カキ,ミカンなどの果樹,スギ,ヒノキの良材を産する。2006年1月,海草郡野上町と合併し町制,海草郡紀美野町となる。89.45km2。4164人(2003)。
