Dragon skewer - Dragon skewer

A scenic spot in Tosashimizu City, southwest of Kochi Prefecture. It is located at the base of Cape Chihiro, about 15 kilometers west of Cape Ashizuri. Along with Minokoshi on the opposite shore, it is home to a series of scenic spots such as Otake Kodake and Senjojiki, which were formed by wave and wind erosion of the monoclinic sandstone and mudstone layers. In 1970, it was designated as one of the first underwater parks in Japan (renamed Marine Parks in 2010), and at the Ashizuri Submarine Aquarium located offshore, you can enjoy watching schools of subtropical fish swimming among the reef-building corals. It is one of the core areas of Ashizuri-Uwakai National Park.

高知県南西部、土佐清水(しみず)市にある景勝地。足摺(あしずり)岬の西方約15キロメートル、千尋(ちひろ)岬の基部にある。対岸の見残(みのこし)とともに、単斜構造をなす砂岩泥岩層が波食・風食を受けて形成された大竹小竹や千畳敷などの奇勝が連続する。1970年（昭和45）全国最初の海中公園（2010年に海域公園と改称）の一つに指定され、沖合いに設けられた足摺海底館では造礁サンゴの間を群泳する亜熱帯魚の姿を楽しむことができる。足摺宇和海国立公園の中核地の一つ。
